Sales volume of used lenses
In the past there were a lot of good used lenses available. Now, not so much. The supply is low for a number of reasons. First, the new RF lens designs are really well made and don’t hold up as well as older designs (or at least as well as Canon claims). There is also pent up demand from film shooters, but that market has now passed.중고렌즈카메라
Second, manufacturers can and do adjust the wholesale price to retailers based on demand and their own profit objectives. This is especially true with high volume sellers like B&H. They can thin or fatten the margin based on seasonality, inventory levels and local competition. They can also use rebates to encourage or discourage buying by consumers.
Retailers can also “poke the ice with a stick” and offer less than the real value of a used lens. Then they hope that they can sell it at a higher price later on to someone who will appreciate its value more than them.
If you want to save money on a used lens, the best thing is to go to the store and try it out before buying it. That way, you can test it for issues that might not be readily apparent in the 5 minutes you have before handing over cold hard cash for a used lens. One important test is to use the middle autofocus point in good lighting and switch focus between something close up and something far away. If it can’t easily focus on something close and far away, the lens may have fungus inside which is impossible to fix and will ruin your photos. Also, if it has heavy scratches on the front element it might not have good resale value.
Large format lens design is slow to evolve, and some lenses, such as the Goerz Dagors and Artars and Zeiss Tessars, have been in production for over 80 years. Nikon has stopped producing LF lenses, but Fuji, Rodenstock and Schneider still do. So, there is a supply of excellent lenses for sale used, but not at the same prices as when they were new. I don’t think that will change any time soon.럭키카메라
